A Welcome Week in the Dominican Republic
We arrived on Thursday evening to a busy airport and even busier streets and then got a busy-warm welcome at "home" where we will be staying with Zajamis and Pedro and their three children during our stay in the Dominican Republic.
The warm stayed. Not just in friendly, but the weather is extremely warm - for being October. It's a heat wave in the Dominican Republic. Have you ever heard of such ridiculousness? Anyways, all those sweaters we packed are going to total waste so far. :)
Melissa and Meagan are settling in well and have their first Spanish language lesson today with Adriana. I will take them, so that they know how to get there, but Adriana promises she is locking me away from them so they can be free to speak and practice. As if I would deter Melissa and Meagan from talking in any language. ;)
We now have internet access and will be fixing the phones today so that the girls can receive incoming calls.
Please pray for Melanie as she is making plans to join us in the next week or so. We are excited to have her join us!
We’ll be back with another update soon...
Kisses and hugs to everyone back home.
